Humanity has became more irresponsible than ever before. Moreover, they
don’t even know what they want. Yet, they call themselves Homo sapiens and
pride themselves on their intelligence and wisdom.
Even when we make various proposals, many people do not listen to the wisdom
that is the basis of the proposals, but only respond based on whether or not
they will benefit from doing so. Too many people think that happiness is
found in a practical life.
Nothing is more dangerous than dissatisfied and irresponsible gods. Many
Gaza residents also rely on Hamas rather than the internationally recognised
Palestinian Authority. Non-state actors are emerging to encroach on areas
beyond the reach of state power. The Houthis in Yemen, Hezbollah in Lebanon,
the Taliban in Afghanistan, Iran and Russia are cleverly using non-state
actors to shake up the Western-centric order. Iran supports Hezbollah and
the Houthis in their repeated military attacks on Israel. Russia is moving
closer to powerful African leaders.
Non-State actors are often beyond the reach of law and sanctions. The ‘rule
of law’, which has been our only guide to action, is crumbling. The Japanese
people, who have benefited much from it, have an obligation to unite and act
for world peace. To do this, we must first overturn our preconceptions,
fixed ideas and common sense, and broaden our horizons so that we can see
things with new eyes.
